Prof. Mahmut Nedim Aytekin, M.D. is a distinguished Orthopaedics and Traumatology Specialist with a subspecialty focus in Orthopaedic Oncology. He completed his medical education at Marmara University (1999–2005), followed by his residency in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Fatih University Faculty of Medicine (2006–2011). He began his medical career as a general practitioner and emergency physician in Adıyaman, then served as a research assistant during his residency years. From 2012 onward, he held various academic and clinical roles at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital and Yıldırım Beyazıt University, advancing from Specialist to Associate Professor, and eventually earning the title of Professor in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Currently, he practices at Lokman Hekim Istanbul Hospital.

Prof. Aytekin’s clinical interests include surgical treatment of musculoskeletal tumors, limb-salvage surgeries, tumor prosthesis applications, pediatric bone cancer surgeries involving bone freezing and grafting techniques, and surgical management of metastatic bone disease. He also performs complex procedures such as internal/external hemipelvectomy, radiofrequency ablation therapy, joint replacement surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder, wrist, elbow), prosthesis revision operations, limb lengthening, deformity corrections, hallux valgus surgery, arthroscopic sports injury interventions, and stem cell therapy applications.

In addition to his surgical expertise, Prof. Aytekin has contributed to national and international literature in the field of orthopaedic oncology and reconstructive surgery.
